Watch: 'Wicked' trailer released

 

Starring Ariana Grande as Glinda the Good Witch and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, the upcoming movie delves into the events preceding "The Wizard of Oz." The trailer showcases performances by Grande and Erivo, featuring songs from the beloved Broadway musical that debuted in 2003.

Inspired by Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West," which itself was a reimagining of the classic 1939 film "The Wizard of Oz," the movie promises to captivate audiences with its fresh take on the iconic story.

Joining Grande and Erivo are a talented ensemble cast including Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, and Jeff Goldblum portraying the wizard.
