Arsenal has kept the Premier League title race alive, pushing Manchester City to the final day of the season.

 

The Premier League title race is set to extend to the final day of the season after Arsenal's 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford. Leandro Trossard's goal in the 20th minute secured the win for Arsenal, propelling them back to the top of the standings.

Arsenal's triumph means that defending champions Manchester City will have to wait until the last round of games next Sunday to potentially clinch the title. Had Arsenal failed to win against United, City could have sealed the championship with a victory over Tottenham on Tuesday. However, Arsenal's crucial win now puts them one point ahead of City in second place.

The defeat for Manchester United adds to the pressure on manager Erik ten Hag, as it marks their 14th loss in the league this season. United's poor form includes just one win in their last eight Premier League matches.

Arsenal capitalized on defensive lapses from United, with Kai Havertz playing a crucial role in setting up Trossard's goal. Trossard converted from close range after Havertz drove into the box and provided the cross.

In the final round of games, Arsenal will host Everton while City will face West Ham at home. Arsenal's victory keeps the pressure on City, who now must win their remaining two games to secure a record fourth consecutive English league title.

Although City still holds the advantage, Arsenal is aiming to clinch their first league title since 2004. Under Arsene Wenger's management, Arsenal famously went undefeated for the entire league campaign, earning the nickname of the "Invincibles."
